Anemone  Anemone sylvestris  perennial.
[Substituted for Anemone coronaria.]

Whether the anemone is the lily of the field that was more richly clothed than Solomon in his glory is never likely to be resolved, but this colorful wild flower is such a feature of the Holy Land in early spring that a biblical garden would hardly be complete without it.
